Oracle Corporation to Sponsor and Speak at THINKstrategies 2014 Connected Cloud Summit Focused on Internet of Things Marketplace

Oracle Corporation has agreed to be a Marquee Sponsor of the 2014 Connected Cloud Summit, hosted by THINKstrategies and the Cloud Computing Showplace, which will bring together key executives from across a variety of industries to discuss the unprecedented business opportunities being created by the rapidly growing ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) marketplace. The Summit will take place on Thursday, September 18 in Boston, MA.

Peter Utzschneider, Oracle’s Vice President of Product Management, will also kickoff the executive forum with a keynote presentation that will examine how enterprises and software vendors are working together to capitalize on the new IoT market opportunities and address key technology challenges.

The full-day, Connected Cloud Summit executive forum will examine how the Cloud is enabling enterprises to leverage an expanding population of mobile devices and remote objects, capture the rising volume of data being generated, and create exciting new commercial and consumer business opportunities across nearly every industry.

Mr. Utzschneider is responsible for product management for Java SE, JavaFX, Java ME and Java Embedded products, focusing on the vibrancy of the Java community and Oracle’s commitment to the IoT ecosystem. Prior to joining Oracle, Mr. Utzschneider was the Vice President of Marketing at Tangosol, whose revolutionary Coherence Data Grid product provides reliable and scalable data management across the enterprise. He has spent over 19 years successfully marketing and selling best-of-breed software solutions in Europe and the U.S. by leveraging his ability to translate early market demand into broader market adoption.
