dinCloud Wins THINKstrategies’ Cloud Computing Business Value (CCBV) Award

THINKstrategies, Inc., the leading strategic consulting company focused on the business implications of the on-demand services market, announced today that dinCloud has been named the winner of the Cloud Computing Business Value (CCBV) Award. This program is aimed at promoting the measurable business benefits delivered by today’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions.

The CCBV Awards program was launched in 2010 to recognize Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) providers delivering tangible business benefits to specific user organizations. These benefits include lower costs, faster deployment times, greater profitability, etc.

The CCBV Award program builds on the success of THINKstrategies’ Best of SaaS Showplace (BoSS) Awards program which was initiated in 2009.

dinCloud is a cloud transformation company that helps organizations rapidly migrate to the cloud through Business Provisioning. Each private, virtual datacenter provides hosted virtual desktops, hosted virtual servers, and cloud backup and recovery services, which are controlled by the customer through a web-based application. dinCloud provides subscription-based services tailored to fit a range of business models resulting in reduced cost, enhanced security, control, and productivity.

An example of the measurable business benefits which can be derived from dinCloud’s solution is National Asset Direct (NAD), Inc., which helps support investment fund acquisition and management. NAD needed to improve the performance and manageability of its desktop environment to trim costs and boost flexibility. By relying on the advanced consolidation tools from Quest Software, the dinCloud deployment team helped NAD reduce its server holdings from approximately 50 to 30 units, or 30%. By adopting the dinCloud Hosted Virtual Desktop solution, NAD slashed its operating costs by 50%.

Based on this customer success story, dinCloud has been named a CCBV Award winner.

“We are pleased to be recognized by THINKstrategies and the Cloud Showplace with the CCBV Award,” said Kevin Schatzle, president of dinCloud. “This recognition further demonstrates dinCloud’s continued commitment to providing a comprehensive approach in delivering an affordable solution that helps organizations rapidly migrate their IT infrastructure to the cloud.”

“As organizations become more decentralized, they need to support their dispersed employees in a more cost-effective fashion,” stated Jeffrey M. Kaplan, the founder of the Cloud Computing Showplace, and Managing Director of THINKstrategies, the strategic consulting firm which conceived and administers the Showplace. “dinCloud’s Hosted Virtual Desktop solution provides a powerful alternative that can be deployed quickly to meet the needs of organizations of all sizes.”
